I did have a phobia of throwing up in public places; though it has calmed down a lot. I have realized that the fear is all in my head.

How weird is that????? I can't stand it, I def agree its a head thing and I think its a control issue with me. Who the hell knows.

I am afraid of heights but especially afraid of stairs leading up & down from the nosebleeds in MSG & Nasaau coliseum.

Up escalators...not down, just up especially ones that have glass or open walls

I don't know if it's a phobia, but I get very dizzy when I am on escalator or steep stairs....I need to hold on to the handrail.
I think it's called vertigo...but I'm still afraid I'm going to fall.

The down escalator....my heart always races a bit when I have to step onto the moving down escalator.

I hate walking up stairs that have the open backs and you can see the floor!!! Scary!!!

I have an incredibly weird phobia. I am absolutely terrified of ants. Spiders? No problem, I'm fine with them. Beetles? They're fine too. I can tolerate any other type of insect without so much as a shudder, but if I see an ant, most especially a carpenter ant (the big black ones), I FREAK out. I freeze up and start shaking. It's terrible, because they're a really common insect and people make fun of me really bad for it.

I thought I was the only one. I remember when I was little my mom went down and realized i didnt follow. I stood @ the top of the stairs crying. Mom came back to get me. I now hold the handrail, or DH;s hand.

I need object around the house and such to be in straight lines. For example sheets and towels in the closet have to be folded the same way and stacked the same way. Pictures have to be straight and everything in a line. It sounds silly but it drives me nuts.

Out of many I have, I would say the weirdest one is over-flowing toilets--
Just to see the water rise pretty close to the top freaks me out real bad!---

I won't eat shellfish because I am scared I will be allergic to it even though I know I am not. Thats pretty weird.

Oh I have a weird one... I'm petrified of popping balloons. I just can't do it. I don't know why, I'm just afraid of the popping.

I knew somebody else with this phobia. We were blowing up balloons at work one day and she wouldn't even come near them for fear of them popping.

I can't do that either! huge fear of falling in!!
I'm also deathly afraid of Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street.....seriously. One Halloween in college, we went on a Haunted Hayride and they had all of these costumed people come out of the woods to scare us.....he came out of the woods and I literally blacked out I was so scared....I have no idea what was going on during that time - i was petrified.......

I don't think I have any weird phobias, though I do get dizzy when I look up towards the top on a really long up-escalator. I had a roommate in college though who was deathly afraid of elevators, vomit, and polka dots.
