yea idk that calender may be accurate for some women- but im always off either early or late-- idk why but it always isnt on time-- so that would do nothing for me-- i will most likely go on BC soon-- so by then ill have no problem whatsoever-- any recommendations-- on a BC pill?- I just dont wanna gain weight can any make you lose weight loll--

Yasmin! lighter shorter period...i gained a whopping 2 lbs when i first started that came off the following week. It has the same amount of hormone everyday so i dont have mood swings. It's my best friend

Re: Weird Q..

This has always been a concern for me. I just tried that calculation site someone posted and according to that, I will be more than ok. I am going to keep track over the next few months and see what happens. The Pill will be considered if necessary.

Edited for spelling.

I am a lit bit older probably than most people, in my late 30s. I already have 2 kids but the FH has none and wants one. We are going to try for a honeymoon special if the timing is right. If that is something anyone is considering, you need to be off the pill for at least 2-3 months before to avoid the risk of birth defects or spontaneous abortion. When you start the pill, it can take a while for you to regulate. I know someone who started it for a cruise we were all taking, she ended up getting it anyway. Also, stress can alter your cycle. It def does for me. There are also side effects to the pill. If you are over 35 or smoke, it is not recommended. I went on it a few years back because stress was causing me to cycle every 2 weeks. I got very sick from it and was advised I could never go on it again or use anything when it is time for menopause. These are just things to consider. I have thought constantly about it also but I am very irregular and will just have to hope for the best. I suggest talking openly about it with the doctor before making any decisions.

a little spooked about the pills stuff.

me too-- i am currently not on anything-- but i am looking into it-- i did a little research and i heard this is the way brides go about it-- so they wont get it while they are on their HM --

i was on the shot (depoprevera) for about a year (3years ago) & i got basically no . at all- that however i would not recommend because my moods werent the best & i gained weight-

i am most likely going to start BC but im just nervous that when i want to get pregnant i will have a hard time because of how long i was on BC-- any ideas on this theory ladies i have only been told no no no this wont happen-- but im still a little nervous about it--

There is no correlation between being on the pill and conceiving. I asked my doctor about it, and know several women, in their 30's who conceived just a few months after taking the pill.

I got mine the morning of...oh well, no biggie. Too anxious and excited to let it get the best of me! it did for about 10 minutes but that was it!

ETA: The calculator is NOT useful, its really only useful if you want to know when you will get it so you can prevent it. If you arent on any sort of BC you cant really prevent it. According to the calculator (which I did plenty before my wedding) I should have gotten it 2 weeks before....but never did!

If your not on the pill to begin with and you would like to alter or change the timing of your period the Pill is the answer. You would need to consult your physician about it first. If you start you would need at least 2 months prior - maybe three to really change the cycle. Girls there really is virtually no risk or harm for the most part to doing this primarily just to change your . Just for the wedding.

Don't get scared , it is NOT super dangerous! Everyone is an individual so the pill will effect everyone different you might not be a candidate for this - but you will not know unfortunately until you try it. Stress might change your cycle anyway.

I say go with the flow * literally * and bring of IB profen and tampax .

Another trick is to soak in a tub of hot water or any water. Showers , pool, ocean. The hot water is great for the cramping and the water is for temporary stopping of the bleeding.

Works everytime for me

i am gonna jump straight onto the next pack of pills no placebos that month so i will skip a period I spoke to my dr. and she said that its ok to do that

That is my plan as well, but think I am going to be mid pack for the wedding. (If I calculated right )

Re: Weird Q..

I have thought about this and if it happens that I am scheduled for my period, I will just start my next pack. Hell I might do that anyway justi n case!!!! I did it when I went on a cruise once and worked perfectly, skipped my period! I love BC!!!
