Weird quesiton about who to invite, very stressed - a bit long (sorry)
Ok heres the deal and I know I have asked this before but I'm really worried about this its a weird situation...
Part 1:
I am a manager at a clothing store where i have worked for 8 YEARS. I thought about inviting just the managers but I realized there are some employees of mine who I have known almost the entire 8 years and we are all very close so I cant imagine some of them not being at my wedding so I figured I'd just invite who i wanted to since its my wedding no big deal - people will understand
Part 2: Some of these people I have known 8 years but have never met their husbands. And recently 2 of my co-managers said they weren't planning to bring their husbands and said 'oh if you want so-and-so to come I'll take them as my guest'
Heres my dilemma - I don't want some coming with husbands and some not - not sure why but this is bothering me. And I don't know some of their husbands anyway so should I just invite the people I want to come without their husbands? (I would discuss it with them first to see if they were planning to anyway) I think its weird and rude to invite someone without their husband. On the other hand it will keep my count down. HELP!! TIA!

I was just invited to a friends daughters sweet 16 without my FH. There were 2 of us friends that were invited and she told us becasue she was limited on the number of people she could invite she has to put us together. We totally understood and had no problem with that. She ended the conversation by saying she really wanted us to share the day but she had to keep the list down.
I plan on doing the same thing with my wedding list. I wish i could invite everyone but money is preventing me from doing so

I think its hard dealing with inviting co-workers.... all the magazines and books say that is an easy place to lower your count by just not inviting everyone. But if you want to invite them IMO you can just invite them alone without the husbands. As long as you just invite them ALL without husbands. I dont know what I am going to do but I cant fathom inviting a ton of husands ive never met.... and i kind of think that the women will enjoy hanging out with eachother and having a girls night out without husbands lol.

To be honest, I would not want to go if I wasn't invited with FH. I think you should leave it up to your co-workers to decide if they want to bring their husbands-whether or not you have met them. JMHO

Yup i totally agree.
I don't see what the big deal is with some of them bringing husbands and others not. I think it should be left up to them whether or not they want to bring their husband and cool if they do and cool if they don't.
A coworker got married and invited everyone with a guest except one other coworker. He made a comment about it... and then didn't go.
