Does anyone not LOVE their wedding dress??? I like my dress but I don't love it and now I feel bad (I already bought it). The thing is..the dress I purchased was the 65th dress I tried on (I know -- I am crazy). I thought it was pretty and my cousin started crying (she NEVER cries) so I just figured it was 'the one'. I guess I am just disappointed because I never had that feeling that so many brides speak of when it comes to finding the perfect dress and I wonder if anyone else feels that way. I felt like I had to buy that one because they all started to blur together and I think I was about to drive myself nuts. Anyone know the feeling?

Re: Weird Question
I understand the feeling. I hate dresses so I won't love any. And I was very limited because I wanted a very simple dress with nothing on it. I found the simple dress and I love the dress I just hate seeing me in dresses!!

I haven't even tried any on yet but I hate the way i look in DRESSES for some reason.. so I have a feeling that I may be very hard on myself.

I feel the same way!! I bought a dress months ago at Davids Bridal and i took it out the other day and really don't think I like it anymore but I have to wear it cause I can't afford to buy a new one!! I think with the all the other things (hair, makeup, flowers, etc.) you will like it..at least thats what I keep telling myself!!!

Re: Weird Question
Maybe you'll like it more when everything comes together----when u see it w/ your hair and make-up done, with the jewelry you'll be wearing, shoes, etc????

Re: Weird Question
I think its very natural to second guess yourself...especially for such a big day that took sooooo much planning and money to make it happen. Your always gonna be like omg did I make the right choice until the day of when you have a ball!!!!
It'll come together..dont worry

Re: Weird Question
It's natural. I am already second guessing myself but when it came in and I tried it on I felt much better. But when I first got it or even tried it on I still havent gotten 'the butterflies' that everyone talks about... Maybe once its altered

Re: Weird Question
I liked my dress a lot. Did I cry and feel like this is 'the one'. No. Not at all. I liked that one the best and that's how I picked it. And don't feel like your crazy...I tried on like 100 dresses myself. So after all that, I kept thinking of the one I picked and I felt like that was the one for me. Don't worry about it.

me too - exactly. I don't love my dress or get butterflies - i just wanted to get the dress shopping over with.
i did try on a bunch as well to see if i got that 'feeling' but I just don't love wedding dresses at all. I feel a little like an imposter in one. but it doesn't really bother me.

Re: Weird Question
consider purchasing a secod dress to change into in the middle of the wedding. It seems to be common.

Re: Weird Question
I havent had that experience in the case of my dress, i was one of those girls who had 'the feeling.' But honestly, you're dress may be perfect for you even though you didnt get 'the feeling.' As brides, i think we are under a ton of pressure....to prepare and plan a gorgeous day, to look beautiful on that day and etc. I think it is common for us to second guess ourselves as to the level of perfection something is. I have done it with other things so i dont think it is that uncommon. As for your gown, your cousin saw you as beautiful and perfect in that dress. Maybe you should go try on dresses and see if you keep coming back to the dress you have. That will help you to know if you chose the right dress for you! HTH!!

Wow, I thought I was the only one, I almost had a nervous breakdown I went to other stores and was trying on dresses again AFTER I already bought one, and the dress is in. I just went to Bridal Reflections were I bought tried it on again, it's not ugly, and I can't afford another one, so I try not to think about it it is what it is.
