Since I started shopping for wedding bands, I wished I had a plain solitaire instead of the ornate e ring that I have... I don't want to change it because I love it BUT I really want a plain solitaire ring to wear with my eternity band. The ring I have now needs to be right handed. Do you think it's ridiculous to keep this ring and buy another plain ring? I am not going to buy another diamond because that's ridiculous but am thinking of moisanite. I don't know if anyone has seen them but you can't tell the difference! My Dad does jewelry and I have seen these up close. They are exquisite. I don't want to hurt FH's feelings either. But I really want a plain ring. I think I am asking too much, I know. Tell me your opinions. Thanks girls.

I would say maybe you could just re-do the ring. Tell FH you were thinking of just a solitaire. Maybe you could do something with the other diamonds like put them in a necklace or something or even incorporate them into your wedding band

I think FH would kick my hiney because I have always wanted this ring. For YEARS I have always wanted this ring so for me to change it would annoy him I think.... I dunno. I am being too greedy.

I know how you fell because my ring is really ornate and I cannot wear a band with it.
I wouldn't change it though- esp if it is a ring that you wanted for years. I know my FH would kick my butt

AWW I don't think that it's being greedy at all. Did you try it on before you got engaged? Tastes change over time...but i know how you feel. I thought of adding diamonds to mine but I thought FH would be upset because I was all for the solitaire ( I love it don't get me wrong) but sometimes I wish I had a little extra frosting. he wanted to get me diamonds on the band but I told him no lol.

i don't think it's ridiculous to have two wedding bands. in fact, i just ordered two myself the other day! i got an eternity band as well as a plain platinum band.

No, I didn't try it on. I had it custom designed. I LOVE it, don't get me wrong and want to keep it. I just think it would be nice to have a plain solitaire too wear sometimes with my eternity band.

I changed my e-ring.... I had to it was catching on everything.. So we swapped the center stone.. FH had no choice but to understand that I had to live with this ring the rest of my life.. So it has to be perfect ..lol And that I mean not catching!!!! Especially catching on my kids..lol

first off your ring is so fabulous....
i have the same problem ...nothing goes band wise with my ring and i have to do a right hand thing b/c i don't like the bands that are made to fit...
i am just going to get a fly right hand ring and maybe a small skinny band to try and slip underneath my ering from time to time...

Thanks, I love yours as well. We have similar tastes. I thought of you when I bought this ring. I just got it yesterday. OMG it's amazing in person. Everyone keeps asking me if this is my Grandma's ring.
