FH and I are probably going to go to city hall and get married soon. He's gunning for it and it saves us mega money on insurance. It wont affect the wedding.
Ok so do we need rings? I want to save my ring for the actual wedding ceremony.

Nope. You don't need rings. You do need your birth cert, form of ID, and in nassau its $40 fee for paperwork, and $30 fee for ceremony. Oh, and a witness.

You definitely don't need a ring for town hall. My brother and a friends of mine just did this for insurance reasons also, and neither had rings.
