the events manager sent me the list of suggested gratuities and it includes the executive chef and 2 sous chefs. Does that seem odd to anyone else?

I think it's slightly risidulous. I would just tip the PHCC and tell them to split it up how they see fit. Who wants to worry about tipping all of those extra people?

It's too much... Tell them the guy who sets up the dining room can have the night off... that is what you have a DOC for.

I have heard of it but I didn't tip mine. I think it's ridiculous! On top of paying an arm and a leg for the service, then you have to tip every single person who lifts a finger! The tips all really start to add up
