well endowed brides!

Ok ladies - I need to know where the best place in LI/NY area is to find lingerie for under my gown. My problem is that i'm well endowed and i need a strapless bustier or something of the sort, but often times I feel that I'm just not getting the support I need. In my opinion, places like victorias secret don't know how to make great bras for girls with over a C cup! I wish I didn't have this problem but I do - can anyone help?

OK - I'm glad it isn't in my head - I'm actually a 34 D and I think Victorias secret stinks making bras for bigger girls. I have been trying on corset dresses - and will probably buy a strapless bra with and underwire - but I haven't picked a dress yet.

I just had to return 2 bras to VS because I was popping out of them. Even though the woman told me it would be fine - out I popped ... I had to buy full-coverage - so much fr sexy ...

Although I am a C-cup, my best friend is a DD...and she bought herself a full-on corsett from a corsettiere. I don't know the place, but they measure you personally and give you exactly what you need.
She can NEVER get things from VS for the same reasons, except the new body bra...full coverage...those are great for everyone I think! SO COMFY!

I had bought a corset from VS it fit great during fittings but on my wedding day it didnt fit wah...and I ended up having to throw on a bra with clear straps praying my dress didnt shift too much in hte back. It did of course as the day wore on....

There is a place on 107 in Hicksville - Collette's - where I got my full-length bra -- I'll send you info if interested. I am a 40D and they had lots to choose from -- but I didn't dare try the strapless...

There is a corset/bra place in Oceanside called Mary lerner. Its on Long Beach Road in the TJ Maxx shopping center.

I got a long-line bra from Georgettes on 107 in Hicksville. It was good to go to a place like that, because you may be wearing the wrong size bra (I was) and you need someone to help you try it on. I'd definately recommend them. (And for the record- I'm a 38DD)

I am so glad I'm not the only one who is so dissatisfied with VS! I do like their body by victoria but its not the sexiest of bras - its very functional and I do like it for everyday.

I will look into going to Collettes - I'm glad to know they have a wide variety of sizes and styles. I'm a 36 D - but i still have such a hard time getting things that fit, support, and still look great!

Any other places to recommend?

I actually got a Maidenform one at Kohl's this week and it went through 38D. Very, very comfortable.

Mary's in Woodbury- Georgettes fit me wrong and I am a 38 DDD. I was confortable on my wedding day and it held them in.

there is a place in NYC that makes bras specialized for you. they were recommended by rk bridal b/c i needed a good deep plunge strapless bar. fm me if you are interested and i will find the #. the place is called Bra Tenders.
