Well hello there lovelys...

Well hello there lovelys...

Its been awhile now. I miss you all and I need to catch up on everything thats been going on with all of you.

I've been having a rough time with alot of things lately.. I have yet to return back to work due to my company having a hard time coping with the fact that I will be using a TENS Unit at work every so often while I'm there. This is all causing a huge financial burden on both me and FH. I have just about 4 months left and we can't pay anything wedding related at this time due to my loss in wages.

I tried to speak with RH and see if I can't push it back, because I was suppose to have returned back to work already and well the company is giving me such a hard time with returning until they figure out where to put me. RH stated I can't push it back because I am under the 9 month mark.

I am beyond upset and this is why I haven't been on. I'm trying to find a way to make this work, But until my job stops acting like a bunch of d-bags there's nothing I can do. My union has done jack and I don't even know why their fee comes out of my pay check

Sorry this was long. Just need to vent.

I do hope all of you are doing well and the planning is pretty much done for everyone of my fellow 09 brides. I can't wait to follow up and look at all the Newly Weds pictures and see what a perfect day everyone of newly wed's day's were!!!!

Miss you all!

What is the TENS unit? Why did you leave work to begin with? Sorry I'm a little lost at that part.

Sorry to hear about all that though! I hope things get better for you an that they work out in the end!

Wow, I am so sorry to hear all this! I'm having a hard time comprehending why your job would have an issue with that...unless I am completely mistaken, but we have a small TENS unit at home that my father has from a holistic business venture in the past, and it's hardly obtrusive, unless the one you have to use is not a hand-held devise. Even still, that just boggles my mind! I really hope that you are able to settle this.

Re: Well hello there lovelys...

Sorry I should have explained a bit more lol

I fell at work over a year ago.. I have this crappy case of tendinitis that comes and goes as it pleases. My wrist blows up, turns black and blue and the pain gets crazy when I have a flair up. Well I had a flair up and my Ortho said no repetitive work with right wrist for 6- 8 weeks.. Which means I can still work, just have to take it a bit slower. But because I work on a computer and everything is based on stats, my job asked me to go out on leave.

Now' I forced my ortho to write a note that I can return full duty, but he states on there I have to use this machine. The machine is a small device that clips on to my pants and has 2 electro sticky pads that send shocks to my wrist. I refuse to take any pain killers so this is the best option for me. But my job is making this huge deal over it and wants me to see their medical before I can go back. I have had clearance from my DR for about 2 weeks, and I have been fighting with my job about letting me return!!

Its freaking rediculous.

Some companies can be a bit inconsiderate. A woman I work with kinda went through the same thing.

Can they put you on light duty till you dont need the TENS unit anymore?

Well before I got the machine I was suppose to be light duty.. But my job felt it was better for me to go out on leave because they 'had nothing' that didn't require me to use my right wrist often..

They are a joke

This has to be a violation of some sort under the ADA. It's discrimination, isn't it?
