Well I may be having a gallbladder attack as I am writing this!

Have a family history of this on my mom's side.....my mother had her first attack at age 15! Both grandparents had theirs removed...and I may be having my first attack tonight....what a fantastic freakin day!

FH had this two years ago. He couldn't identify the pain, it was excruciating, thought he was having a heart attack. He ended up having to call 911 and get taken to the hospital (I was working in NYC so I wasn't there to take him ). Had emergency gall bladder removal and all was well after that.

Don't wait till the pain's so bad you have to call 911!!!!!!!!

I agree not to wait, It only gets worse and if the gall bladder swells, then they wont be able to do laproscoptic surgery, which is a three day recovery, they will have to do it the ol'fashioned way, which is a LONG recovery and leaves a huge scar (sorry to sound scary) but go to the doc ASAP

what does it feel like exactly

There is a pain right under my ribcage on my right side and then it wraps around my back....before it felt like someone was stabbing me in the back...but that has subsidded

I hope you feel better!! Im glad you are going to see your doc tomorrow. You don't have any fever or nausea/vomiting, do you?? Feel better!!!!

OMG!!! Please have a HIDA scan done to check that out! My Mom just had hers out about 3 weeks ago! All the other tests came back negative, but they did that one and it turned out she had a bum gallbladder!

I agree, people seem to think that gall bladder pain=gall stones, but sometimes they just stop working and nothing but a HIDA scan will show that.
