Well ladies, I'm off...
My clock says 20 hours! Wow, I totally can't get over how quickly time flew. I really need to thank all of you LIW brides, past, present and future, for kicking my a$$ into wedding mode or else this wedding would not be where it is today. I feel that LIW is my fifth bridesmaid...all of the advice, tips, support...all of it has been appreciated and I am so grateful that I got to 'meet' a fantastic group of women (and about 5 men) and had a place to call home.
Good Luck to Teach2be and the other brides who are getting married this weekend...it will be beautiful. As for some advice, well, don't procrastinate. seriously, do what you can when you can because before you will know it, your day will be here. sneaky little bugger! budget, budget, budget...remember that there is a life outside of wedding planning and you will need to eat and pay the phone bill![]()
. don't stress...stay calm, have fun, don't let family members control the wedding. Make sure you date fh every once in a while and do not speak one word of wedding talk on that date. incorporate your fh, your fmil, your mom...don't let them have the final say, but involve them. they deserve it and they want to feel needed. don't let your girls choose their own dresses. just kidding...if you do, set some limits...maybe one designer or one color...but keep up on them. one of my girls got her dress last week. didn't need that added stress. don't obsess. nobody will notice if your petal pink envelope liners don't match your whisper pink nail polish. It's all good.
the people who love you will be there and make the day so special and amazing and beautiful. that is all that matters...that you have found someone so fantastic and wonderful with whom to spend your life and people that you both care about want to celebrate that...that is the ultimate gift. So, have fun, be safe, don't get into too much drama![]()
and i will post pictures and give a review upon my return from aruba...wow, i'm going on vacation...to quote 'jerry maguire'...I have failed as much as I have succeeded. But I love my life. And I wish you my kind of success.
