Well they know now!

They were truly surprised by the party. In fact my MIL slammed the door closed when everyone yelled surprise-- They were shocked

More shocked when we gave them their gifts!!

As you look upon your fifty years together all you have to do is look around to see what the two of you have created. You do not have to look to far around to see the family and friends that share in your celebration, during the past fifty years you have seen your family grow you have seen your children’s children and the joy that comes with that may both of you live to enjoy the next fifty years with more happiness and more joy.

Five children plus ten grandchildren all gifts sent from heaven in a few short months ten will become eleven.

She started screaming everyone from the party came running in not knowing what was wrong. It was wonderful. The party is still going on but between last night and tonight they wiped me out.

Nope they didn't know. We wanted to tell them in person and when they were all together since DH's family lives all over. You guys knew before them

that is such a great way to tell them!!!!!

i keep trying to think of inventive ways to tell our parents when we finally decide to start a family.......this is a good one!!!

For my Mom I showed up at her office with a balloon that said Baby and a card that said congratulations you are going to be a grandparent.

For my dad I put a picture of the sonogram in a frame that said grandpa's sunshine and a bib that said Grandpa loves me.- that was for his birthday.

What a great way to tell them! and your husband put it perfectly!

i LOVE LOVE LOVE those telling the parent stories!!!

one time, tom and i were out to dinner and at te table next to us, the couple was telling their parents they were pregnant....it looked like it was the mom's birthday and they bought her a book about being a grandmother.....soooo sweet!
