BUT, DH's company only withheld a TOTAL of 10% of his income toward ALL taxes...(and they changed his withholding status without having him fill out a new W4, so I am PISSED about that!)
On my own, I was entitled to approx $4,000 back. But, he was in the hole for about $4,000. So, it evened out
I am SO UPSET.
And, DH feels like sh!t because he knows that I basically gave up $4,000 to put toward his tax liabilities. He is really depressed now and I feel like I'm going to barf
I just keep kicking myself because I had a feeling all along that his take-home pay was way too high. We make about the same amount, but his take home was A LOT higher. I attributed it to me paying NY taxes and him paying NJ taxes. But, I should have known that the difference was really only minimal.

omg..what a pain! that's really awful. Atleast you didn't lose any $$, you had it all year. But I understand, I'm one of those people who would rather get that check in april

After we paid the accountant, we ended up with $25. I guess I should be happy that we didn't have to pay.
