wellness...HELP

wellness...HELP

Ok so we switched fred to wellness bc he was refusing to eat the science diet at all.

Now, hes been on it for almost a week and still has some diarreahea from it.. is this normal?

Hes been to the vet mutiple times isnce we got him and he has no parasites or anything just went on saturday....

what should i do, i dont want to switch food again

That is very common when you switch foods.

Did you switch slowly? You are suppose to mix it in gradually. If not, it upsets their stomach. How long ago did you start on Wellness? Maybe you can work a little Science Diet in there slowly and then taper him off.

Poor little thing. He'll be ok.

well he was never fully switched to science diet bc he refused to eat it... so on sunday we started giving him wellness. I feel like a bad mommy!

you can add some plain white rice to the food - it can help to bind the poop.

I mixed it at first but he only picked out the welness bits. He didnt like the science diet at all.

well its ok. thats normal.. the diarreah... thats why mixing it lessens the chance of that happening.. but hes not letting yu0 mix it hell be ok in a couple days

Im hoping so.. It cant be good for him to have diarrhea for so long.

How long is he having diarreah?
Having the diarreah too long is definately not good...dehydration, etc.
I don't think my DH likes or recommends this food. (I know, many people on LIW love it, but I just wanted to give you my DH's opinion).
I would definately switch to another food, and ask you vet for his recommendation.

Will the store that you bought the Wellness from allow you to return it for a full refund?
My DH's practice allows people to return food that pets don't like, so maybe you wouldn't have lost money if they have this policy.

well he doesnt have diarrehea like everytime he goes but it has been since monday, I really dont want to switch him again because that would be the third time ....
