We went on the Carman's river...it was sooo much fun! we actually saw three deer drinking, like 20 feet in front of us!!!! It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!

Its very easy! We rented a canoe and it took us like ten minutes to coordinate our paddling, but it was so much fun!!! We stopped and ate lunch along the way,& put our feet in the water...so nice!!! Definitely try it! you will love it!

You have to go! Very fun & romantic! Also, the peconic river out of riverhead/calverton is a nice route too but much longer...an all day thing!

I know! My neck was a bit sore! FYI for all, the Peconic river route is 8 miles and takes awhile....The Carman's river is either 2.5 miles or 4 miles depending on which route you take (there is the upper river and the lower river route!) it takes about 2.5-3 hours.
