Went dress shopping today!

Went dress shopping today!

It was a lot of fun but soo tough!!! I must have tried on about 15 dresses. The consultant at Lillette's was great. She had me try on all different shapes/styles. I really liked 2 dresses (but both were completely different so now I'm so confused) but didn't get that 'this is THE ONE' feeling. Did you really get that feeling or is that just a bunch of bologna? I'll try to post pics of the two I liked!

So glad you had fun... I can't say I started crying or anything like that, I loved it the first time I tried it on, and then when I went back another time with my mom and MOH and they loved it too, I said this is it.

Aw, I'm really glad you had a lot of fun!! This is a very exciting time!!!

No, it's not bologna! I tried on a few but there was this one that really stood out, I compared all the rest of them to it. I put it on during a 2nd visit and not only did I not want to take it off but I got all misty eyed, which none of the other dresses did. Plus, it was the only one that made my grandma cry. So that was it, she had settled it, I ordered it that weekend!!!

I truly think you'll have found the one when you get that feeling! Where you have to have that dress or else!!!

Glad you had a good time!
I was debating between 2 dresses, so I just kept trying then on until I kept seeing myself in the one. I love it and took my time before I ordered it!
Can't wait to see pics of the dresses you tried on!

It's true not bologna you just know that it's the one.
When I first went shopping I didn't think I was going to order my gown I figured I would be just be going to try on different gowns. But when I tried on my gown I just knew and my mom agreed. So did the bridal consultant.
Just enjoy and you will know when you find it!

Re: Went dress shopping today!

I must say I was quite doubtful that the 'this is the one!' feeling would hit me. The first time I went shopping I found three dresses I loved. They were beautiful gowns. But I didn't have a 'this is the one' moment, and figured it wasn't going to happen. Anyway, I went back a second time to show my dad the three dresses I liked and although I still liked them, I decided to look at some more because a friend had assured me I would have a 'this is the one!' moment. Well she was right. I tried on a dress that was nothing like the others, nothing like I thought I wanted, and I had the 'this is it!' moment. It'll happen!! Keep looking!

You will know when you have the right dress, it will fit like a glove

When I tried on 'the one,' i didn't want to take it off. I didn't cry but I did tear a bit out of joy. I'm a bit of a sucker. My bridal party was in the fitting room with me and they all gasped when they saw 'the one' on me. Even if they had a different opinion, I would have gone for it since my gut told me that it was it... but their reactions certainly reinforced my feeling.

I didn't have 'the one' feeling for a couple of reasons: I had had an idea of what I wanted (esp. a preference about the back), but it turned out that the back of the dress (corset)that I chose was the best/most comfortable fit for me, and that wound up being the deciding factor. Still, it wasn't my 'vision,' you know? And it was my mom's second favorite dress, and I felt bad that we didn't like the same dress best. But I do love it, and I do know that I definitely made the right choice!

When I tried on the dress I started crying. I like most of the dresses I tried on but I didn't get that feeling. As soon as I walked out of the room and looked in the mirror I just new and I started crying. It was the best feeling ever, and what relief. I thought the whole you know the one was a bunch of bologna too but it seemed to come true for me.
