Today me two maid of honors and I went looking for bridesmaid dresses. We started off at Lillettes (where I ordered my gown). I was very disappointed with their customer service. We had an appointment and no one seemed to help us, we helped ourselves and was shoved in a corner where there was one dressing room. I found my wedding dress with the help of my two MOH and tried it on again. It was not to visit it again.
Ultimately we let, I felt extremely aggravated and disappointed. Later that day we ended up at Bridal Reflections and found a dress we all loved. The girl was so nice and accomadating. The problem is I have a lot of negatvie things about BR and am debating whether or not to order from them. I am also tempted to call Lillettes and tell them about my experience. I am a very patient person and did not say anything while I was there. MY sister was asking the woman questions about the dress and she seemed to get annoyed.
Any advice?

I have no experience with either place, but if customer service matters to you like it matters to me, here's where I found the nicest people:
Angel Bridals (East Islip) Paradise Bridal (Patchogue) Bay Shore Bridal Suite
I ordered my gown from Angel, even though I didn't find it there, just because I love the women in the shop so much and wanted to give them my business.

I have noticed in some places the service in the BM department is VERY DIFFERENT than the bridal area. It pisses me off. That being said...I got my dress at BR and so far so good. If you are nevous go somewhere else. But lets face it i think i have heard bad as well as good reviews for all the bridal salons. Good Luck
Edited...i got my BM dresses at the Bridal suite of Centereach...they have been AWESOME so far.

I have had a great experience at bridal reflections so far. I don't know which store you went to, but I think everybody has been complaining about the Carle Place one, if that makes a difference to you. I went to the BR in Massapequa. My sister got her dress and bm dresses there 11 years ago and my good friend got her dress there last year with no problems. I hope this helped.

Thanks ladies! I think I am going to call Lillettes when they open just to tell them about my experience. I am going to be extremely nice about it, but let them know my disappointment.

Try bridal garden in Bethpage. They had a good selection, numerous dressing rooms and were really helpful. And they matched my lowest price that I had gotten elsewhere!
I got my dress at Lillettes too! I love that place (although I never looked at bm dresses there b/c I felt their selection wasnt large enough.

I had a very similar experience at the Bridal Salon in Manhasset. They were very nice when I bought my gown, and horrible when I went for bridesmaid dresses. I am just like you, I didn't say anything while I was there. But then I called them and told them how dissatisfied I was, and they were very nice. The next time we went in, we received excellent customer service. Good luck!

I would call Lilettes especially since you ordered your dress from there. I also went to BR for bridesmaid dresses and then I called Burtons in Melville (or Huntington) for a price comparison and they saved my bridesmaids $50 a piece! They are very nice also and do excellent work

Don't worry Danielle, when I went to Lilette's with my girls, we did everything on our own too. We got the corner dressing room and no one helped us either. We pretty much had our own run on the place. We still ordered from there though.
But let me tell ya... they had the best prices on the BM dresses! I checked out 5 other stores (Macys, BR, Flowerama, Elegant Bride, Bridal Garden) and Lilettes had the best price.
With that being said- we went for the first fitting on this past Saturday (2/14) - and the dresses were PERFECT! the girls were all measured correctly and everyone only needed MINOR adjustments. I couldn't have been more happy with them.
