went to a bridal shower this past weekend...

first.. it was for FH's step cousin, who FMIL and i are not too fond of. It really annoyed me that she couldnt have even pretended to be surprised.. her mom looked so upset!

Anywho...

they did some cute things I thought I would share..

1. They handed out scrap booking pages prior to the party. Each friend/relative created a page or two. they put pictures on the page with captions and those cute scrapbooking stickers., Some wrote a poem or a nice saying. Others put a recipie on the page.

At the shower everyone handed in their pages and they created 2 books. they were really nice

(FH's mom was really mad because they didnt even include her in this, she was never asked to make a page.. so rude!!!)

2. they did the candle basket poem where they have all different colored candles that the couple should light at special moments in their lives (anniversaries, birth of a child, a new home)

3. they did a wine basket. SImilar to the candle basket the wine is to be opened and drank on special occasions.

When fights occur as they sometimes will and tempers are steaming hot.

For in a marriage if everyone agreed it would certainly be a bore.
And by asking for my friends hand Jordan’s surely in for more!

Christmas Eve- (red and green tulle)

A wise man turned to a friend and said wine is better than beer.
And now is the season for friends and fun and lots of holiday cheer.
So pop the cork and relax a bit and when the night is through,
kiss goodnight, close your eyes and Santa will be good to you.

First Anniversary- (cream tulle)

Tonight you’ve been married a year one wonders where the time goes.
No longer are you newlyweds, soon you’ll be pro’s.
I hope the days have found you both in good health and spirit.
