Went to a Crest Hollow wedding

The reception was Sunday night. Crest Hollow was all decorated for the holidays, and looked very pretty. The cocktail hour was sort of smaller then I expected but the food was pretty good (except for the paella-sp?). The wait staff was really good, polite and personable. The dinner was interesting because the DJ spoke entirely in spanish--luckily every reception seems to follow the same script so I wasn't too confused! Dinner started with fresh fruit, which was fine. then a salad--most of the people at my table didn't take more then a few bites (A LOT of feta cheese). Dinner was a choice of chicken medallions, prime rib, or salmon. The chicken was great--stuffed with spinach and cheese. The prime rib got so-so reviews, as did the salmon. I tried the prime rib, but I generally don't like prime rib so I'm not the best judge--it was ok. The broccoli, carrots and potatoes on the side were fine. Unfortuately, we couldn't stay for dessert--it was so late by then and I had a 12 hour workday and another holiday function after that to do the next day BUT FH talked to those who stayed--the desserts got rave reviews, especially the ice cream. So that's it in a nutshell.
