Went to a reception at VILLA LOMBARDIS
In one word......WOW!!! This place was absolutely perfect!! The reception was this past saturday and with the occasional drizzle, the day was perfect. Cocktail hour was phenominal. I have NEVER seen such a large buffet like that. The main reception room was gorgeous. Im not sure which room it was, but it was on the first floor to the far left. The room was beautifully set, but as a guest I felt it was a bit too dark. They should have set the lights a little brighter. The first course was pasta which no one touched because of the cocktail hour. I also passed on the salad, but it looked very good. I enjoyed the sherbert, it was VERY good, and for hte main course I had the jumbo shrimp dish. It was soooooo good!! My fi had the chicken dish which was one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had. My friend had the steak dish which she couldnt finish, but said was very juicy and yummy. The service was exceptional. I never had to go to the bar. My only disappointment was the cake. She had strawberry and cannoli filling. Instead I opted for the viennese tray with the small pastries. They were to die for!! Hope this helped and if you have any questions, FM me!!
