Went to a Wedding

Went to a Wedding

I don't have any pics yet. Still have some film in the camera. It was at the Milleridge Inn Sunday evening. It was a beautiful place. So different from all the catering halls. You almost felt like you were in someone's home. It was still decorated for christmas and the fireplace was going. The food was great. You got a lot at dinner.

They had a band. They were ok... I never realized how many breaks they took. They would also start a little bit of the song and then stop then start something else.

But if you are having your wedding there you can be sure everyone will enjoy it.....

Jen-n-Dale - that is great to hear. I am a Milleridge bride next September and it is great to hear such feedback. You are exactly right in that it feels like a home, the main reason we chose it. I always thought I wanted a big recetion site more like a country club but when i saw the Milleridge I just fell in love with it. We almost switched the date when we heard how wonderful it looks around the holidays but we decided we love that guests can go out into the gardens in the warm weather.

Fletch - We did ours in the summer in July and it was perfect. People could go wherever they wanted and it was so nice having the entire place to ourselves. I had no complaints about the Milleridge Inn - you'll have a wonderful day!

argh, i hate hearing negative things about vendors i've booked (Code Bleu in this case). can you explain a little further why they were just 'ok'? i've only heard completely positive things about them, so now i'm a little worried! thank you!!

Jen-

My FH's friend was at the same wedding on Sunday. His firend called him up fiorst thing Monday morning and told him how great Milleridge was and we have nothing to worry about. I'm so glad that we picked Milleridge.

Miro,

Don't worry, I only heard FANTASTIC things about Code Bleu! I'm a little concerned too though, because I am using Rhapsody, another Skyline Band. People have different ideas of what a good band is, etc. If this makes you feel better, I never hear of anyone using Rhapsody and was VERY close to changing it to Code Bleu.

I just am not used to a band. During the breaks they always had someone playing (that is a positive). The woman singer has a great voice though. She can sing like any of the singers. I think it was just the choice of songs. I know it is not the band's fault.... But while you were dancing upbeat all of a sudden the song would stop and you were left hanging on the floor. Then they had asked for a request. I am more of a dj person. I am sorry to make anyone feel uneasy. But it is just my opinion. If you liked them I am sure you have nothing to worry about. People were dancing the entire night. (I admitt I was too).

So great to hear wonderful things about the Milleridge. I loved it the minute I walked in but it was totally different from what I thought I wanted. Our final choices were Caryle On the Green amd Milleridge. The 2 places couldn't be more different but thats how I am. After hearing all of these wonderful things I am so happy we went with the Milleridge. The food tasting was out of this world!
