Went to a wedding at CLM on Saturday.
It was such a gorgeous day and perfect for a wedding at CLM! When we walked in the lobby was very crowded and there was a long line because this is where they were giving out champagne when guests arrived. Not a good place for it. We just skipped through and went right into the CH. They had a ton of variety at the CH. The shrimp jambalaya (sp?) and linguini with clam sauce were a big hit. Although, the food was pretty bland in general. It was beautiful to sit outside on the patio and they were very good about getting drinks during CH. I had a couple of the frozen drinks, which were very yummy.
The place was gorgeous and very nice for a wedding. My biggest complaint was the food, not very good. I had one bite of my meal and that was it, even my DH who eats everything wouldn't eat it. The salad wasn't very good either. They had 4 choices of meals and when I asked how 2 were prepared (veal chop and sea bass) the girl had no clue. She looked at me like I had 12 heads. Instead of going to find out she was like, um I guess broiled. Not even close! The service wasn't very good and we had to ask 4 times to refill our water.
Besides for that the wedding was a lot of fun. I am sure they have great pics, because between the water, pier, and cazeboo are great backdrops. The bartendars were quick and knowledgeable, although not very personable. The DJ was great, which made it so much fun. I loved the way the room was set up (they were in the large of the 2 rooms) around the dance floor. Although if you were trying to get to the bar it was hard to weave back between tables. The room looked very pretty with the linens & chairs.
There was another wedding going on during the reception. They were having their cocktail hour. They had a cool calypso band outside on the deck during the CH. Perfect for a reception on the water.
