Went to a wedding at Eastwind...(long review)
Yesterday I was in a wedding at Eastwind (Country Gardens). I thought the grounds were beautiful for pictures. The ceremony took place there in the garden. I thought it was beautiful but I couldnt hear the ceremony that well because of traffic passing by. The traffic was LOUD, and some idiots had the nerve to honk and yell things as they drove past. The cocktail hour food was very good. The maitre d, and bridal attendant were great. They were very nice and eager to please the bride and groom. The food at dinner was good, they offered seconds to people (which is nice). However the one of the servers spilled my FH's dinner all over him. The woman barely apologized and his suit might be ruined. So my FH approached the maitre d. and he offered to pay. (So that was fine). My friend used wedding world for her vendors: flowers (they were beautiful as were the centerpieces), the limos were nice, but the driver was smoking as he helped us in the limo. Also, he drove right past eastwind cause he was busy yapping on his radio. The photographer was nice, but I feel like he hardly took any pictures. I would say 100 tops! He even left like 2 hours early from the reception. However the videographer seemed to be taping a lot, so I think the video will be fine. The reception room seemed a bit small for the wedding, not much room to walk around tables. But the dance floor was a good size. The DJ from wedding world was 'Class Act'. They were ok, I did see the bride approaching them several times telling them to play what she requested. Anyway Eastwind overall is well run, beautiful with good food. So good luck to those Eastwind brides out there...it should be great. I will say that I would not use wedding world however...just my opinion though.
