Just wanted to tell anyone getting married at the Vanderbilt Mansion in Oakdale that it is beautiful. We went to a wedding there on Sunday, and I have to say that place is amazing. I had never been there before and I just loved it. They had the ceremony in a circular sunroom off the courtyard and the reception was in a ballroom and dining room. The view from every room was gorgeous. The food was catered by Land's End and was delicous. Our favorite part, which we may steal for our wedding, was that they passed hot cocoa with Bailey's and Spiced Apple cider. Yummmy and warm!!!

For my wedding at Flowerfield they had the hot apple cider and hot chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps (yummy). They had hot chocolate with Kalhua at one of the bridal shows. It worked out because it snowed the day of the wedding. A week before my wedding my banquet manager suggested that I switch the drinks to passed cosmos and Pina Coladas. I must of had a feeling the weather was going to be snowy that day!

Glad to hear We just got married there 10/11/03. I received numerous compliments on the place how beautiful and amazing it was and how different it was from a catering hall And of course everyone raived about the food.

I 2nd, 3rd and 4th it, Vanderbilt Mansion is fabulous. Carolyn and her staff are the most professional people you could work with. For all those with upcoming weddings, you have nothing to worry about. Best of Luck!

For prospective brides: just wanted to clarify that the caterer for Vanderbilt is a company called Lovin' Oven and which also caters for Land's End, another reception hall.
I had a great time at my wedding there and now wish I could attend a wedding there as a guest so that I can enjoy all the fun without having to deal with bride responsibilities!
