went to a wedding in CT...review

For those who are planning on a CT wedding...or are interested here is a wuick review

Amarante's Sea Cliff- Beautiful area for cocktail hour- on the water, view was amazing, not a lot of food- which IO have come to realize is typical at out of new york/LI weddings... What kind of bothered me was that they had ugly green garbage pails everywhere and it looked bad, also they used SMALL very SMALL PAPER plates at the cocktail hour and also papder cups- never saw that done before

The room was VERY nice! She decorated so nicely..on the ceiling draped was tulle with lights- they did it , it wasnt there...looked nice, the chair covers were nice, normally i o not like them but i took a peek at the real chairs and they REALLY needed them...they were terrible...
she had fake flowers as centerpeices, which i was not a fan of

the food - the saladwas good- had heart of plam and roasted peppers- but i found straw paper in it, i stopped eating , BUT it was good until i saw that...
something different, in the invitation we had to choose what we wanted to eat...2 choices chicken or beef- i choose beef so did fh, the waitress came around and said you are nicole ... you ordered beef- how do you want it, i asked her if i could change my choice, she said no.... i didnt really care too much but i thought it was different... ALL the beef no matter how you asked for it done came out one way(at least at our table) RED RED RED... Cake was ok but i am not a cake person- looked so pretty though...

They had a chocolate fountain, which I LOVED! People really took to it too- It was super yummy! But for all teh extra $$$ it was only out for 45 minutes maybe not even, but must i say agin, it was GREAT

they had a spanish band- it was an ecuadorian/puerto rican wedding...the band was great when they sang- everyone danced but leader talked WAY too much!

at the ceremony they put rope around the couple , this is tradition i assume... fh said we wont do this- but it was nice... the church was 1hr 45min no air conditioning and all in spanish, i dont speak spanish...so it felt a bit long for me..

bride is a former marine and groom is currently a marine stationed in italy protecting the embassy- it was so nice when they did the sword 'ceremony' I told fh i want the marines at my wedding, of course this is not possible but it was really nice...the pics we took ofthe bride and groom with marines were awesome!

her colors were lavendar which was pretty the bridesmaid dresses were tea length and very cute

anything else just ask... i dont know if it helped anyone- but just thought i would share
