Went to a wedding in Northern NJ.. florentine gardens (pics)
Ok ladies this is just observations.. none of the vendors were LIW.. but i figured id provide a few pics
My problems were general that I will prolly make sure my hall doesnt do, or my dj doesnt do...
my only real complaints are that the CH food was sparse and a little overcooked... (ive been to a wedding there before (last year) and it was plentiful and wonderful...diff pkg? diff owners? i dont konw...
the meal was delicous (and the waiters came aroudn and offered seconds!) got the chaeatu briand.. yummy!
the biggest complaint was how long it took things to get started at the receptoin point.. seemed like an hour (and when i checked my watch it was indeed an hour before introductions, dances, speeches , etc were all done...
really made me rethink the structuring of ours b/c it was really aggrevating for alot of guests you saw them all get antsy...
and the band was a little eh... it was a nj band,.. and i think friends of the family from HS... so i won't name them , but they weren't good... it was all oldies (more then half the reception was under 35) alot of oldies are ok but mix it up a little bit!!! and there was alot of silence between songs... nothing like other bands ive heard who do really great transitions.. they also talked alot .. which was odd.. really broke the flow of the reception up...
but i have to say the BM dresses were super pretty ,the bride looked great, the flowers were amazing...
so far heres' centerpiece, cocktail hour flowers, me and FH
