Went to a wedding last night at East Wind Estate
We went to a big Indian wedding last night at East Wind. It was very nice! We missed a bunch of the CH due to a hair mishap lol but what we caught was delish! The eggplant rollatini was yummy! Lots of yummy cheeses and veggies also. The martini bar seemed good, but the line was too long to get to it. There were about 475 people at this wedding! Huge! One thing I thought was odd was that they flashed the lights repeatedly to signal the change to the ballroom, and kept loudly announcing it over the loudspeaker. The light flashing I just thought was really weird, I don't know, maybe it's just me. The ballroom was decorated SO beautifully!! The colors were bright teal and white, and it looked great. They used chair covers and bows, and lots of fabric to create almost an altar around their sweetheart table. It was very nice. There were 45 tables!! The dinner was a buffet of Indian food which was so so good. I had the channa saag which is my absolute favorite, and of course chicken tikka masala and curry goat. I love curry goat!! All covered in raita, fresh naan. I was happy happy! The plated salad was good but the creamy dressing just too much for me. I always prefer a vinaigrette. I didn't eat one bite of the cake or dessert, but DH said the wedding cake (white with white filling) was yummy. The plated dessert looked like a dark fudge almost mud pie type cake, a chocolate covered strawberry, and little fruit pastry. There were stations set up to serve coffee with different liquers. It was a lovely evening!
