went to a wedding this week
So my boss had a fabulous wedding at the Rainbow Room this thursday night. It was gorgeous. In true NYC form, there wasn't an abundance of food, but what was there was very yummy and high quality. The CH had things like lots of sushi and tuna tartar. Dinner I had the filet mignon. The other choice was a bass. They decided not to do a cake but served chocolate souflee, which was amazing and some cookies at each table.
They had NYC Swing as their band. They were really good. The first part of the night, they stuck to jazzy instrumental stuff at her father's request, but around desert kicked up quite a few notches!
A few things they did out of the ordinary...no BP intro, just bride and groom, and parent dances were very short and altogether. Bride and dad started, very shortly after, groom and mom joined in and then everyone was asked to join in. All and all it was a very elegant, classy wedding. Here's a pic of the CP. She alternated with this and then 3 smaller (varying in heights) cylinders, each with a different arrangement of all white flowers.
