I went to Fox Hollow. The price wasn't bad that they offered but I hate to say it, I found them extremely rude. I felt like they didn't care if you wanted to have your wedding there. The man I met with actually said, 'This is going to be the most expensive day of your life. You are paying like 5000$ an hour for something that in a year you will have pictures of and you will not even look at them.' He was just totally killing the moment. He was also not willing to budge on price or throw in anything extra. I don't know. I left there thinking if this is how they act when you come in to check out the place, how are they going to treat you on your wedding day.
Me and FH are really looking into Larkfield Manor. There are 3 places we must see before me make the final arrangements to book but he knows my heart is set! haha It will take a lot to have me budge. He loves Larkfied too so...they made us feel like they want us there and they are throwing in extras, alot more food and a GREAT price. It will be hard to beat that is for sure.
But Fox hollow...knocked off the list.

aww thats too bad - everyone has different experiences at different places. . .i know a few people that are in love with FH
but if you dont get 'THAT FEELING' you are absolutely right to keep on looking!!
I am so excited I get to go to all these weddings at places I havent been before - its going to be so much fun!

yea i know. i heard people loved it too. that was why i was so happy that we were going to check it out.
I felt the same way. They should have been selling it to me. I kind of felt like he thought weddings were stupid. Well that was the impression he gave to us. The whole time I was like GRRR...

but on another note jesse and i are going to the three places Thursday when i get out of work. These are the three that we are interested in. If they can not match OR beat Larkfield...Saturday we are going to put a deposit down with Frankie!
I am super excited because either way...we will have something in the works.
Jesse and I are basically seeing these 3 places just to check them out....! Im so excited!!!! (other than yesterday)

so what are the 3 places you're going to check them out. yeah i went to fox hollow also & had a bad experience there too. I was thinking the same thing when i was there - u are suppose to sell me the place. I went there also b/c i only heard great things about the place. I remember when i went there, i forgot who i was talking to , but she got mad that me & my FH didnt have a list of questions for her- i was thinking isnt she suppose to sell me the place ? i thought it was weird & she asked how many places we went to- we said 3, she said oh thats why u dont have any questions. i was just like o-k! the thing i didnt like is that they told us to come anytime- we went there on a fri & there just happen to be a wedding- i was like OMG- i wouldnt want to get married here & see people looking at the place plus we even saw the bride & groom! so i just figured this wasnt for me- i loved this place though- the rooms & everything- the garden is beautiful!

The three places are Giorgio's, Chateau La Mer, Chateau Briand....We are going to try to see all three thurs because it is the ONLY day we have together during the week this week... I've heard good things about these three so...We narrowed it down

yeah all 3 places are really nice- i've been to all 3 for a wedding except Chateau la mer b/c thats where i'm going to get married at!! Well i hope you find the perfect hall!!! Have fun visiting all 3- thats what we did also b/c our schedules are so different

Chateau La Mer is really nice!!! I cant believe that guy was mean to you guys!!! I'm surprised you didnt tell him where he should go lol That happened to us at one place too and Sean wanted to leave as the woman was showing us around hehehe.

don't feel too bad, I had a bad experience with Towers on the green. we were already upset because we waited for the guy for a really long time and he couldn't even give us all of his attention. I guess he was babysitting that day. it was the first hall we visited

Good luck... I am having my wedding at Larkfield in a few days...no complaints so far. They are awsome...the food is great. It is really pretty too. For me, customer service is like one the most important things (that's why I love Larkfield), because people will remember that...and down the line, you will realize how important it is, because if you run into problems, they will be no help.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I hate it when people, vendors especially, are rude. They don't seem to understand that we can just take our busines elsewhere.

everything went great and I booked with Floral Terrace. I thoguht it was beautiful, Frank the BM is absolutely amazing....I LOVED IT! Larkfield was an extremely close 2nd...but floral terrace was the place for me and FH!!! thanks ladies.
the guy I spoke with at fox hollow his name began with an R Ron i believe. Maybe he was busy but he treated us kinda like he didnt care that we were thinking of having it there. Some people have no problems about that place..maybe it was a one time thing but it was a one time thing thaat we were not happy with so..we passed.

awe!! Im sure this will be your only negative experience!! Fox hollow is gorgeous, Ive been there for a few weddings!! Its unfortunate the guy had to be so rude. Im sure his job wont last that long anyway with an attitude like that!! Have fun looking at the other halls and please keep me posted...

I went to a wedding at Giorgio's and it was stunning!!!! I would have my wedding there but I feel it's a bit too far for my guests. Good luck and happy hunting!!!
