Went to Carltun on the Sound this weekend
I was there for a baby shower yesterday. It was the fanciest shower I ever went to.
The main room was beautiful overlooking the sound, and the food and service was great! I didn't see the cocktail hour room. But there was a little patio outside of that room.
It also is a shame, that you aren't really on the beach, and you can't even get on it...only if you jump the fence, which the bartender told me a few drunk people at a wedding did once, and she's lucky her stuff didn't wash ashore.
We also ended the night with a Sylvia Weinstock cake which was the best cake I have ever seen (and eaten) in my life! I'll attach a pic from my camera phone.
Anyway, I totally recommend this place, but if you're looking for something on the beach, its just a view.
