Went to Economy Candy on Rivington Street - Long

I went down to Economy Candy on Rivington Street yesterday to check it out. The store is fantastic! It's not that big, but it's stocked from the floor to the ceiling with candy!!!!! They have lots of current stuff plus a bunch of old time favorites:

mary janes, squirrel nut zippers, bit o'honey, sugar daddy's, candy cigarettes, rock candy, carnival pops, chocolate babies, chocolate covered pretzels, chuckles, gummy babies, (actually pretty much gummy anything) cherry nickels, 5 lb bags of single color m&m's, British chocolate, button candy, pixie sticks, red hots, Turkish delight, Halvah, etc.

Basically, if it's candy - they have it. . . and their prices are really good.

for example:

80 penny sticks, 5 pounds of caramels, 2 pounds of red hots, 5 pounds of (imitation) M&M's (cheaper than the real thing), 4 pounds of gumdrops, 60 pixie sticks, 3 pounds of smarties and 10 carnival pops = total is $55.

I'm definitely planning on having a candy buffet now!

They have a website - www.economycandy.com

Yup! I love that store. I went there for the jordan almonds for favors I had to make and I have to say - they were great. The jordan almonds are $3.99 pound..I bought 2.5 pounds = 268 pieces...and these things are huge! lol

I will be going back for my wedding. Definitely worth the trip to Delancy.

yes, it's on rivington street in the lower east side - right off of delancey street. Take the subway (F line) to Delancey. Rivington is one block north of Delancey.

Or you could use their website.

If you're looking for candy for favors or for a candy buffet it's totally worth the trip.

I think so - I saw a bunch of mini chocolate bars - but I'm not sure if I saw herseys. I'd check their website or give them a call.
