went to first travel agent last night.

We really have no clue where we want to go. We know we want to be on the beach but want activities to do also cuz neither of us can stay on the beach the entire day for 10 days.

So these are the pamphlets we took home..

Hawaii
Costa Rica
The Caribbean (St. Lucia)

Anyone have experience with any of these?

im dying to go to costa rica...beaches arnt like the beaches you would see in the caribbean but they are beautiful. stay at the paradisus playa conchal in costa rica. its actually one of the few all inclusives and is beatiful. lots of sight seeing. im into the nature/eco sightseeing so this is definetely a great option.
Hawaii also has lots of sight seeing. Both hawaii and costa rica plan on doing some moving around to really see all of the destination. You could do a hawaii cruise and not have to worry about packing up and flying to another island. Norwegian does a great 7 nt hawaii cruise and then you could stay an extra 3 nights in honolulu.
The caribbean is going to be borring for you if you dont like the beach. I love the beach but not for ten days and my fiance hates the beach haha. we're doing italy instead. we were going to do st lucia but there wont be much to do compared to hawaii or costa rica.

Shawn and I are going to Sandals St Lucia Regency for our honeymoon...There are supposed to be alot of excursions you can go on (off the resort and on the resort). There are also two other resorts on the island you can go to free of charge that have different things going on than the other hotels.
His cousin went for their HM and his cousin and wife LOVED st lucia.

my fiance is obsessed with goin to costa rica.. he wants to go for a whole month.. he thinks we can live like royalty there for 3,000, lol. a friend of his goes there every couple months and stays for a long period of time.. he swears that its great there.. I feel like I want to go somewhere that I will never go before in my life.. like Australia, or New Zealand.. Figi???

then my friend at work recommended a european cruise which sounded amazing.. french riviera, barcelona.. etc..

Hawaii I feel everyone goes there for honeymoon. its suppose to be gorgeous!! and out of the 3 . I think that is the happy medium.. theres a lot to do. but u can also relax if you want. its really beautiful there.

Oh, want to add, that the Regency resort is THE golf resort to be at apparently on st lucia...Something about a pro course or something like that I cant remember what it is...So if you like golfing or FH does, this would be something nice to have (apparently when you do it they pack you a lunch, drinks, snacks and all that cool stuff to take with you while you are on the green)

i am not sure how the weather will be in september in costa rica but i know their rainy season is during our summer months so you should check out the weather there first.

We are going to Hawaii. Like you, we wanted nice beaches but also activities. Hawaii has so much to do. Some of the things we are doing are:

Volcano Tour
ATV Tour
Zip lining
Helicopter Tour
Pearl Harbor
Road to hana

We are going to Honolulu (2nights) Maui (5 nights) and Kona (4 nights)

My friend is going on her honeymoon to Costa Rica in July. I don't know all the details, but I know they're bouncing around the island (?) a bunch. Like one part is the rain forest, and another part is the beach. I don't know many details sorry.

I've been to St.Lucia on a cruise years ago. We had a BLAST we did excursions and walked through the towns it was amazing and I was only thre 1 day! It is the only island I have been DYING to go back to. Which is why we booked our HM there. There really is tons to do, or you can do nothing at all if you chose. Matt and I are the same way we could never do nothing for a week but we know we will not get bored in St. Lucia....

I have heard in Costa Rica, you don't really want to leave your resort (or the resort area). I have never been there but this is what I have been told.

I've never been to Hawaii so no info there for ya

HTH

ETA: I know Sandals Regency in St.Lucia offer's zipline-ing and there are atv adventures but I am not sure if that is through Sandals or not.

Costa Rica is more lush in the rainy season. You kinda want to go when its rainy season so you can see all the beautiful tropical stuff.
