I would opt for a bowl, I dont thin ka basket would look as elegant, not suitable for a wedding IMO. The pic you posted looks AMAZING!

I was just in a wedding last weekend in burgandy dresses. Flowers were Dark Red, pink and White and looked beautiful.

I love it!! And pink looks great with wine colored dresses. Different shades of 'red' are always cool.
