I went to the KofC New Hyde Park today to check it out. I just thought some of you might be interested in pics and prices I was quoted $47pp including tax and service charge for a buffet menu with top shelf open bar or $74pp including tax and service charge for a sit down menu with cocktail hour and top shelf open bar. These prices do not change depending on season or day of the week. This includes linens, tables, chairs, bartenders, waitstaff, pretty much everything. The have two room. The larger ballroom upstairs has a 100 minimum and then they have a smaller room downstairs for between 40-96 guests.

It was okay. There isn't a separate room for a cocktail hour and they don't have any outdoor garden area for pics or ceremonies. They also don't have a bridal suite but the price is awesome. Just think I could have a Saturday night wedding for a little as $47pp. I wonder how the food is? I believe he told me it would be catered by an italian deli. I just can't remember the name of it. I'm going to look into a few more KofC and VFW halls to see if any of them have nicer facilities. I would totally consider these halls if I could find a place for my ceremony. My biggest problem with this though is where can I have a nice ceremony preferably outdoors but with an indoor backup in case of rain?

I actually went to a wedding at the K of C. My cousin had her reception at the one in Lindenhurst. And I have to tell you it was just as nice as all of these other reception halls. The food was great too. That is a great price for a Sat night!!

Try the Memorare Club in Seaford..it's also a K of C but when you actually see the place you would never believe it!
I was married there last month. For a Saturday night wedding we paid $53.00 pp for a sit down dinner. Let me tell you..the food was outrageous and the wait staff could not have been better. The Bridal Suite was huge! The ONLY problem we had was that they ran out of beer (only one brand) but had more within 1/2 hour..CRAZY cop/fireman wedding!!
Anyone on a budget would be crazy not to even look at this place... Good Luck

that is not bad at all.
i almost got married at a fire house near me. the only reason i didn't consider them, back when i first was planning, was because their minimun was too much for us.
for a price like that, not having a FEW of those things wouldn't be too much of a sacrifice. but i do understand you're wanting the outdoor ceremony and a separate ch.
i sure hope you find the right place for you. seems like all your hard work is eventually going to pay off.
