Went to look at Caffe on the Green and Reception House

FH and I went to visit Caffe on the Green and Reception House today. We loved Caffe on the Green and probably would have booked our wedding there today but it was out of our price range, $95pp Sun afternoon and $110pp Saturday night. We have a small budget and this was more than we'd like to spend. We want to spend no more than $70pp. I'm disappointed because I really liked everything. The outdoor ceremony & CH and the Bayview room was gorgeous. Just what we were looking for.

FH still likes Westbury Manor the best. This is probably where we will wind up booking. Everywhere we go he compares it to Westbury Manor.

Reception House gave us great prices, $55pp Sat or Sun afternoon and $60 for Sat night. I liked the prices and here we could actually afford to have a Sat night wedding but I didn't really like the place. The room was okay and we could do an outdoor ceremony but the gardens weren't that nice (on the smaller side). Also the menu was very limited. CH with only 8 passed appetizers. It is a good option I guess to keep in mind if we decide we must do a Sat night.

I'm only having about 50-60 people and Crest Hollow said no because we can't meet their minimum. Fox Hollow is a definate no because I called them and asked if they would do a party for 50-60 people and the person on the phone said 'yes'. We drove all the way there and the girl working the front desk was kinda rude and then sent us home saying they only book parties of that size 6 months prior to the date. Definately turned me off to Fox Hollow!

I've looked at; Westbury Manor, Swan Club, Verdi's of Westbury, George Washington Manor, Leonard's of Great Neck, Coral House, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Caffe on the Green and Reception House so far.

For the Swan Club we were quoted $70pp for a Sunday afternoon, $90pp for Saturday night, or $55 for a holiday (July 4th, Columbus Day, Labor Day, etc..).
