What do you guys think of uplighting in this room. I have a night wedding. Will it be OK with the green walls?

That is a beautiful room!! I think uplighting will look nice, especially since it is a night-time wedding. Congrats on doing your menu, its getting so close!!!!

Beautiful room! I think uplighting will look fine with the wall color, especially at night.

OH, and I totally need the chair colors especially since my flowers are hot pink, orange and yellow. I love the way they look.

I went to a friend's wedding there 2 summers ago and we had a GREAT time. The food was excellent and we were offered seconds. We all stayed in a Best Western a mile or two away and REALLY partied that night. The next day we went to brunch and a nearby zoo before we headed home. It was a cool weekend.
Personally i wouldn't do uplighting there b/c it's more of a classical/tradition feel and I always think of uplighting as something for a more modern room i.e. people doing 'winter wonderland' type things. I think centerpiece spot lights from the ceiling are def nice though and fit every room. IDK I'm not lighting expert- jmo.

lisa, i just went to a wedding there , i dont think you need up lighting , imo! but if you like it you do it!! the food was fantastic and the wait staff was great !!

That's where I am getting married, too, same room. Love it.
I don't think you need uplighting, it's not worth the expense. I thought about it, too, but decided against it.
How did the menu meeting go, what did they cover? What did you pick? Are you printing menus? Share what you learned!!!

Thanks everyone! I actually spoke to my photographer and although he didn't exactly talk me out of it he said it wasn't necessary to get the uplighting.
