went to our bakery...

i tried some fillings for our cake and we decided on chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse filling! It was soooo good! Me and FH can't wait to eat our cake!!! If ur RH is providing the cake, i would recommend going to the bakery, tasting it and telling them what u want (design wise). I kept seeing pix of 3 tiers but they said i can have 5 and it wasnt extra $$.

We went there on Sunday with a picture of what we wanted, and he called me today and told it would be $900! I asked if that was the upgrade price because our RH supplies the cake, and he said he didnt know what they would do. We'll see. We are going in this weekend to try the cakes though.

Actually the cake I want looks similar to your profile pic. Is that the cake you are getting through them?

no, thats not the cake LOL. I chose the square one with a colored trim. I cant believe they quoted u $900. But then again, I remember seeing WCC's book and for the other cakes it said like $8-$9 pp extra. Maybe u can try to talk them into bringing the price down. goodluck!

My place was going to charge $400 just to upgrade to fondant! Yikes...we dont like it anyway!

Yeah, Im going to see if WCC will deduct part of it since a cake is included. We'll see. I'm going to go taste some cake this weekend! Oh, and that price was with buttercream, if I wanted fondant it would have been $1200 or something!
