went to pronovias yesterday!

went to pronovias yesterday with my BFF. what a gorgeous store! idk if u remember carmel from say yes to the dress? She was my consultant. I tried on lots of dresses in only an hour's time and I think its just adding to my confusion! i don't know what i want! I know I have time, so im trying to just remain calm and not think about finding 'the dress' but its hard being so confused(esp cuz i always thought i knew what i wanted)! ugh
for girls that have found ur dress, how many months/how many stores did it take u to find 'the one'? did u feel 'that feeling' ?

Hate to sound like a broken record but I never got the feeling that most people take about.

I tried on a lot dresses. I just went with the one I felt looked the best.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I will wait for a feeling. I've tried on regular clothing before and had that 'I have to get this' feeling, I think I should expect the same for my wedding dress. I'm not saying one should start crying or anything, but it should be more than feeling a dress is adequate or just will do.

I went to about 5 stores and I found it in 2 months. Don't settle until you find the one you love and you will!!! no worries!!

Over two months, I went to four stores, and probably tried almost 20 dresses. I feel like that was enough to see all of the options there were, not just what I went into it thinking would work...I just felt lost in everything besides what I wound up with.

Even if you don't get an overwhelming 'the one' feeling, I think you'll start being able to compare them to each other as far as what looks best on you, etc. We talked about this...I think b/c what I picked wasn't what I was expecting, it was hard to have that feeling, b/c I was too busy feeling that it wasn't what I was expecting.

You'll know what's best! And isn't the Pronovias store soooooo nice?

I just came back from Pronovias today and totally know what you mean. I fell in love with two dresses and so confused!!! which ones did u try?

I think in total I went shopping about 8 times and tried on an average of 10 dresses each time (so 80 dresses). I did find a few dresses along the way that I liked but I was stuck on my San Patrick that I HAD TO try on before I made my decision (I just had a feeling it was the one). Turns out I was right - the second I out it on, I said in the dressing room 'This is it' and I walked out to show my mom and grandma and they absolutely loved it!

Like you said you do have plenty of time but I will tell you what I did in the process to help complicate things less. Everytime I went dress shopping, out of the dresses I tried on that day I made promised to myself that I will walk out of that store only like/remembering 1 of those dresses. The next time I went dress shopping, I tried on more dresses and picked my fav out of those. I then compared it to the original dress I had liked and made my decision of which on I liked better. I always just tried to keep one dress in the running at a time until I found something that nothing else could compete with and I ended my search.

I ended up with 'the one' at my 5th store. I want to say I tried on at least 50 dresses before I found it and had that feeling of it being the one. What my issue was is that I wanted a dress with an off the shoulder sleeve or cap sleeve and EVERYTHING is strapless. I found many gorgeous strapless dresses that I really liked, but when I put this last one on that had the off the shoulder sleeve I fell in love and it was exactly what I pictured myself in and I just knew this was it.

Im so happy to hear you had a good trip...

I think i am in the minority - i went to one store and i didnt get that whole teary eyed, omg this is it feeling.... i went back and tried on THE dress 3 times during the time i was there... after i kept going back to it saying 'well that one had XYZ' i knew that it was it.

After I said 'ok this is it' i did get a bit emotional b/c i was so excited and it felt so real.

some times you just know, you know what looks best on you, you know what you will feel comfortable in and what is important to you... i wouldnt worry about that crazy feeling some people have - or maybe im just cold and heartless?!? LOL jk
