After all the worrying with inviting almost 190 people, we aren't going to make our minimum of 140. ALL of FH family (except immediate family) has responded no. FH and his parents are so upset and insulted...... and I'm afraid we're going to be at 110 - maybe 120 with the vendors.. we still have some more to get, our RSVP date is 4/17.... I feel so bad for FH. I know there is really no advice that can be given here, I just had to vent a little.

Yeah family can be like that sometimes Its too bad that you won't make your minimum but atleast you will have people there who truly care about both of you!

We were short that way too. After all were invited of 190 we got 121. Our hall was very nice and didn't hold us to our minimum of 150. We notified them ahead of time that it would most likely be around 140 but in the end it was 121.
You still have some time. I have an invite sitting in my kitchen with an rsvp date of April 16 that I haven't answered yet. DH is working on that day and he doesn't know if he can get off yet.

Maybe the hall can throw in some extra stuff for you. I would talk to them as soon as you knwo for sure.

Sorry to hear that but at least you know the people you care about and are close with will be there to celebrate with you. It is their loss not yours. They will be missing out on a beautiful day.

Awww Lauren, I'm so sorry to hear this. Like the other girls said, I'd be upfront w/ your hall, perhaps they can lower your minimum or at least throw some things in for you!

Don't forget the procrastinators! There may be a fairly large population (hopefully 30-40 people) who may be waiting until the 15th or 16th to send back their response, you may still make it! I've got my fingers crossed for you!

aww. so sorry to hear that Why don't you talk to your hall... let see what you hall can do for you, perhaps they can give you upgrade OR you can invite your coworker.

Thanks for your kind words everyone.... When we know our definite amount we will call WM and see what we can do.
I don't know what the deal with FH's family is. Apparently they just don't care... there was no fight or falling out that I know of. Its so horrible though, all of them have just checked of no, and haven't even written any reasons. The wedding is going to be so lopsided, there will be hardly and representation from FH's side. All of his friends have said yes so far, so I told him that all the people he really cares about will be there, but I know he's really hurting, and there's nothing I can do to make him feel better.
