My FH and I just found out our offer was accepted on a home we really wanted. We don't plan to move in until March or April, so we are really excited to spend the next few months working on the home to make it perfect when we officially move in!
I'm even more excited to know what color towels and stuff to register for now!

I'm in the same boat too! We're closing on our house sometime this month. It's exciting, frustrating, nerve-racking but it's all worth it!

Update: we are no longer buying the home. The real estate agent accepted another offer after accepted ours. It appears evident that they used our bid as a means to get another party to increase their offer, which is highly unethical and extremely unscrupulous. Unfortunately, they are techically allowed to do this, but it is just so s**tty of someone to do =/

Oh no! Not only is that sooo friggin shady and wrong, but they falsely got your hopes up. That's terrible, and I'm sorry it happened. But I believe when you do find and get a house it will mean it's meant to be and the 'right' house for you. Everything happens for a reason!!

It is extremely shady, and most realtors don't practice like this. Unfortunately many realtors don't give a **** about whether or not they are being unethical.... I guess now we learned a valuable lesson: don't get your hopes up until a contract is signed!
