In light of HappyBride having an idea hers was today, I was wondering how many of us who have had our showers were surprised. I have to admit that I wasn't but they did try to surprise me and I had a wonderful time anyway.

I had an idea when it was for a number of reasons. The date was just confirmed to me this past week. My shower is going to be this coming Saturday. It doesn't really matter to me that it's not a surprise. I suppose it would have been nice if it was a surprise, but it would be really hard. Both my sister (MOH) and my mom are coming in from OOT. The place of the shower is a surprise though. I am very curious about that. My SIL implied that she was not happy with the choice of place.

I wanted to be, but my mom just told me straight out when it was. She knows i hate driving to Brooklyn, and didnt want me to come up with an excuse at the last minute not to come And there was no way that my DH wouldve been able to 'convince us to go' b/c he hates brooklyn even more than i do, so i wouldve figured it out anyway
although, i do have to admit... since she was being SOOO blunt about it, i did start to think that maybe she was just trying to throw me off,,, so i was still a little confused

I wanted to be, but when my roomate from college who lives in Ohio called to let me know of her flight arrangements for that weekend I got a little suspicious. That and my mom forgot to write that it was a surprise on the invite and all of my friends were calling to tell me how cute it was and that they couldnt wait. OOPS
