We are starting to think about our menu and were wondering what some of your preferred entrée choices are. And how do you feel about the duet course? I like the idea of it, but we’re having trouble narrowing it down to an option would please the majority of guests.

Also – I went to the bridal showcase on Sunday and found out that they are planning to expand the patio!

2016 non-West Sayville bride crashing :)

I almost chose West Sayville as my venue! I was in love with the idea of a dock ceremony (especially since FFIL works on boats for a living), and I loved the separate room with the dance floor so people who are eating can still talk without shouting! lol I am leaning towards doing a duet course though so people can continue to dance instead of having to worry about eating a salad then going back for another appetizer.

We are going to do a duet appetizer so people dont have to stop partying in between courses. My DJ recommended it too...he said it keeps the vibe alive at the party!

Thank you, both! You’re right! I think I just need to see what other options we have for the duet course, because I’m not too crazy about the ones that are on the menu.

I know we won’t be able to find something that every guest will love, but we’re trying to keep the immediate family happy (and full). My parents are the problem! LOL My mom doesn’t eat red meat and my dad doesn’t care for seafood and poultry!

I don't remember what their menu looked like, but could you take one salad and one appetizer from the list and put it together as a duet course or do they have set duet courses?

Thanks :) What venue did you end up choosing?

We are planning to have our ceremony on the dock. That option sealed the deal for us! I wasn't sure if I loved the separation of the dance floor at first, but it definitely grew on me. The windows make it feel very open and I think most of our guests will appreciate it.

They have a list of duet courses, but it seems like they are very flexible with the menu so I'm sure we can get some good suggestions.
