I have heard good things about PJCC but when I went to visit I had a bad experience. I had a 2pm appt. and at 3pm, the man I was scheduled to meet with still hadn't acknowledged my fiance and I so we walked out. I didn't want to pay out aprox. $20,000 to a place that makes me wait almost an hour like that. It is, however, a beautiful location and I have heard good things about it since then. I might have just had an isolated bad experience. I don't know anything about West Sayville CC. Good luck -

I am getting married at Port Jeff CC in September. Are you in Suffolk? b/c it is a ways out there. its on the water...there is only one wedding at a time...its simple..not over the top..but I loved it. I have heard wonderful things about the food and service. the room holds up to 200 I think...I wouldn't push it over 175 though. We have around 130. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

one more thing...

I have heard one other time about the manager making someone wait...I'll be honest...he only can have 2 weddings/functions a day. one day time and one nighttime..so I don't think he has any trouble booking the place up...atleast thats what he made it seem to be like to me. I booked my September date back last May and i only had two days to choose from...his summer was booked up already....just an FYI.

one more thing...

I had a similar experience at PJCC -- the person I met with seemed like he didn't give two cents what I thought or caring about being personable. This was in 2000 though and I heard they had changed management. It's always good to at least go see it and decide for yourself.

I was at a wedding at West Sayville country club and jus tlike the last post, I remember that the band was on the patio while everyone was seated outside.

We checked out West Sayville-my FH got sick on the food tasting we had there.
My sister in law had her wedding at Port Jefferson. The food was really good and the set up is beautiful.

went to pjcc and was about to book it, but we went for the food tasting, however, the food was mediocre and left all 3 of us feeling sick to our stomaches for a few days. hope u have better luck.
