Re: Westbury Manor

Heyy.. I have never been to a wedding at WBM but i was at a bridal shower about a year and a half ago. The food was very good. The main room we were in was big and had nice wooden floors. Im not sure which room it was or how many they have there but I know I had to walk past the restaurant to go up a narrow staircase to get to the cocktail room and then the party room was like down the hall. Im pretty sure they have a sep entrance for weddings? If not this might be a deal breaker for me.. Other than that the place is very nice.. big ..beauiful grounds n all

A friend recently was married there; was very cute and a different vibe than a lot of other places. I only heard from a handful of ppl but they said the food was good and they had a good time overall :) if you love it, go for it :P

I may be a bit biased considering that I am gettting married at WM but I am going to be as honest as I can...

Cons: I think you will have to share the bathroom with any other parties that are going on. If you are having an indoor cocktail hour it is split between 3 rooms, but if you get nice weather the outside cocktail hour is beautiful.

pros: We love the gardens and the food is amazing! We have been to a couple of weddings there and always had a good experience. the Manor room is beautiful! It fits over 300 people and has 2 french doors that take you to an outside area which is private to your party only. There is also an indoor room to take pictures just in case of bad weather. The menu for the cocktail hour offered the most food when compared to all the other venues we went to, not to mention the food tasting was better than any other we went to as well. The dinner menu offers 7 dishes as well. We were also given a reasonable price pp.

I hope this helps you make a decision, but I suggest going to as many venues as you can so you don't have any regrets later down the road. With that said I am very excited to get married at WM! The BM was able to focus the wedding toward our Italian culture and it was the best fit for us

Good Luck!

Did you do a tasting yet? We are actually looking to do one before booking. And did you see the indoor photo studio?

Yes, we did a tasting. It went great. FH and I sat in a large booth and they brought out mini versions of appetizers, dinner and desserts (all were so delicious). The tasting lasted us about an hour and a half (it was like a date!) I am actually going to bring our parents there one night for dinner.

I saw the indoor room for photos. It was upstairs. The BM will show you it if you ask.

I just booked a tasting for Thursday...so excited! And he was going to show us the studio but someone was using it so we will try and see it on either Thursday or Sunday when we go back!

My friend had a Sat Night Engagement Party there 8pm-12am. It was spectacular. The food was great, that gardens were amazing.

I heard it was very nice :) That was one of our top choices but then other issues arose.
