Has any of the westbury manor brides done their cake tasting with the house bakery recently? If so what flavors did they offer? And was it good?

Re: Westbury Manor-cake tasting
Hi there,
I had a terrible experience with their bakery. I called and made an appointment for a tasting, and followed up three days before. I got there, and A: they were not ready for us (and seemed like we were interrupting them), and B: turns out they do not give samples of cake nor fillings. Essentially, they give you a sample of what they have in their pastry case (like a small cannoli for the cannoli filling, a napoleon for the vanilla filling), but you never get to taste the actual cake. And they didn't even have most of their fillings available for tasting. What I did try, however, I found completely mediocre and not very good.
I studied pastry in culinary school, and any baker worth their salt who does wedding cakes as a significant part of their business has samples. Many bakers make plain vanilla and chocolate mini cupcakes, and serve small samples of the fillings on the side, so you can take a spoonful of cake and try lots of different combinations.
To make a long story short, I went elsewhere for my cake. If the cake is important to you (as it is to me), I would suggest paying the extra money and going to a bakery where you can actually taste what you're going to get. Oh, and I felt they were very rude to me. But that's not what you asked, so...
