Westbury Manor or Fox Hollow?!

Westbury Manor or Fox Hollow?!

I visited Westbury Manor today and after thinking that Fox Hollow was definitely the one, I now don't know which to decide on! I love them both!

Westbury Manor:
-the grounds are gorgeous
-I love the cocktail hour area- the glass patio and library- so cozy
-The reception room is more spacious that the Winter Garden room at the Fox Hollow. So we wouldn't have to cut back on our guest list.
-I love the foyer of the Westbury Manor
-Would have a Sunday afternoon wedding 12pm-5:30pm (I would rather evening but you can't have the ceremony there if you have a Sat or Sun evening wedding!)

Fox Hollow:
-I'm in love with the Winter Garden Pavillion!
-Would have to cut back guest list and room is smaller
-The ceremony room is really pretty
-Cocktail hour room is okay, not amazing, but pretty
-We would get a free night stay at the Fox HOllow Inn next door for the night of.
-Would have a Sunday evening wedding until 11:30pm

Oh man, there almost tied!
Ah what to do what to do! Any advice or opinions?!

I haven't been to Westbury Manor but as you can see I'm partial to The Fox Hollow lol. The Winter Garden Pavillion is what sold us on Fox Hollow, I totally love that room and can't imagine my wedding anywhere else. I am doing a Sunday evening wedding and the time for us is perfect because it's 5:30 - 11:30 which isn't too bad for people going to work the next day and still lets us have the room when it's dark outside (which I think is when it looks the best). I don't like the idea of a Sunday afternoon wedding, it's too early for people IMO.

I couldn't decide between Fox Hollow or Westbury Manor either. To me it was all about the ambiance. Westbury Manor had everything I wanted. I looooove the library.

Nell- I totally agree with what your saying! I would do a Sun evening too b/c the Fri and Sat evening are way too late (til 1:30 am!)...also the WGP is just made for night time weddings!

Mokie- I LOVE the library too- the cocktail area is my favorite part!!

from the way you described the two I think you already know your decision.

Plus if you'd have to scale down your wedding when you'd prefer not to just for a venue, in my opinion I'd pick another venue.

There both beautiful places- but westbury manor def seems for you.

From what you wrote WM sounds better for you especially since you will have a earlier reception that's better on a Sunday.

Reading your list...it sounds like WM has more pros than FH. I personally like WM better!

I love WM. That's where my reception is. I have the same rooms as you do for the cocktail hour.

my brother and SIL had their reception at in the WGP at Fox Hollow and it was very nice.

THanks so much everyone! It seems like Westbury Manor may be the winner with this poll!!

Does anyone know what the chairs look like? When I went they all had chair covers on them (as well as in the pix on the website) and I forgot to ask what they look like without! I'm not a huge fan on chair covers and was wondering what color they are?

I have heard that the food at Westbury manor isn't too good, yet I did hear that it is GORGEOUS! If you tried the food and love it! Then go with it!

my fiance has worked at both places and i worked at fox (how we met lol) the food at westbury is phenomenal (the same chef from when i used to work at fox -he moved). everything runs smoothly and you get personalized attention from the maitre 'd and bridal attendant. i am biased but i vote for westbury.

I had my 1st wedding at WM. I feel like I wasted it on my psycho ex husband!!! there that said, people still talk about that wedding and it was back in 95.

I got married in the afternoon so I didn't know you could have an on site ceremony at night.

I say WM.

I've been to countless weddings at Fox Hollow. they throw a nice party too.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEE FELICIA! She was the first RH I went to see a week after I got engaged and she really taught me most of the ropes, I was so determined to be married there and I came home saying I chose my place! I loveeeeee WM. Work with Felicia! I always feel bad I didn't book there! lol
