Westbury Manor Reveiw

Ok - So went to a wedding Saturday - Overall it was great - food was good we had a great time - But just a couple of small things - Not sure if you care or not but figured I would mention -

They didnt want to serve the guest shots- they said it was'nt allowed -
Also when you went from the cocktail hour to the main room they didnt have the bars open yet and said they were waiting for the bride and groom to be announced -
I thought that was weird you are paying for the entire reception so dont think that is fare - But that was all -
Actaully going to another one there this weekend

MMM, that is weird. I guess that is the package that the bride and groom got. However, I went to Westbury Manor last February and I must say, we were able to drink whatever we wanted. So, I am almost positive they did that to cut down on costs. I LOVE Westbury Manor. Such a gorgeous place.

I think alot of places dont give out shots. I've been to a couple of weddings and there were no shots served. I know my hall doesnt do shots either. I think they are afraid of people getting too drunk. Instead of asking for a shot get what ever you want on the rocks

i think the drinking thing makes sense maybe because they do a champaigne toast first..then you can start the drinking....

Thats weird about the open bars, because I have been to soooo many weddings that the bars are open the moment you step in the place , not waiting for the couple
