When my RHs were equal in every way, price was the deciding factor.. is there a difference between the two?

that can be a definite difference depending on the number of guests- tax and grat are added as well

Don't mind me, I've been crunching numbers all night. For a 150 person wedding a difference of $8/person ends up being over $1500 with taxes and tips. Good luck in your choice.

OOOh, I love this stuff... to put that into something tangible... that could be 10 centerpieces (or more!), it's more than enough for your ceremony (either on-site or off-site), it could be your entertainment for the evening...
When I did a pro and con list I looked at these things:
- Is there an outside place to take pictures? - Will my guests be comfortable? Is there enough room? - How is the food? - What are the extras for X vs. Y. For example, I got an ice sculpture with my current hall and chair covers... In some halls these were extra. - How many waiters per head?
Is there one your FH likes a LITTLE BIT more? All of this was the kind of stuff I looked at when we decided to book.

I looked at both, and as you can see I went with WM. Honestly, I didn't think WCC compared. I didn't get that 'wow' factor when I walked in, you know what I mean? That's JMO.
I also looked at both, and while both halls are beautiful, I didn't like a lot of things with WM. My first issue was that they weren't able to do a Saturday night ceremony. I also was really really unimpressed with the library/cocktail hour area. There was a wedding taking place while we were there, and half of the guests were squished into one room, and everyone else was in the room outside. I also wasn't impressed with the flaky banquet manager. The grounds however are beautiful.
That being said, while WCC is a little bit more $$, it's worth every penny. I got married there in November and my guests are STILL raving about Woodbury! The food wasphenomenal, the grounds are gorgeous, and the service was impeccable. I do agree that from the outside WM is more attractive, but once your guests see your room at WCC, they'll be blown away.

Westbury Manor! But as you can see I am biased... I love this place! However, if WCC wasn't so far away for us, I defintely would have wanted to check it out since FH went to a wedding there and was floored by the CH out by the pool. Go with your gut. If you are really leaning toward one and the money is what's holding you up, see if there is anything else that you can cut corners with so that you can have what you truly want. It will be a wonderful time regardless GL!
And just in reference to a previous post about WM not having Sat night weddings, maybe it was just for that day since I know someone having a night wedding the same day that I'm having my Sat afternoon wedding there.
i am a WM bride so I am biased..not sure why someone said they were squished in Ch..i have 3 rooms for my ch and i loved it because of the feeling I got when i was inside...the dark woods and warmness of it captivated me. I have been to weddings at WCC although I did not visit it as a choice for mine, and they have been great....just not for me.

As a guest of both venues, both are really nice with very good food but I just really love Westbury Manor. (& all of their pretty birds).

I am a WCC bride! Just got married there, and they have done a lot of reservations since last year. I had the downstairs room and fountain area. I also looked at both and we wanted a little more of an outdoor atmosphere, so we ended up going with WCC. I have guests still talking about it too! Especially the cocktail hour and the dessert!! haha
Either one would be gorgeous! Visit both of them one more time, and go with your gut!
In the meantime, you can check out my review with lots of pics. Maybe that will give you a better idea. I also like the windows behind our sweetheart table. All the guests would look at us and see the fountains and big windows behind us. Beautiful view, even at night when everything was lit up out back.
Also, I can't remember exactly, but I think the main colors at WM were burgundy. So if that is your color scheme then it would look gorgeous. I wanted more of an ivory feel and light coming through the large windows, and I loved the set up of the room at WCC. So take the layout and colors of the room and floor in to consideration.
