Westbury Manor wedding cake

I am getting married next May, and I am a cake lover, does any body have any suggestion or comments about WM's wedding cakes?

Thanks!

Re: Westbury Manor wedding cake

Ive been to a few weddings there...and I think it was very much like other wedding cakes (which in MO are not bakery masterpieces)

If you are truly a cake lover, and you want the wedding cake to taste magnificent, I'd consider finding an outside source...

Re: Westbury Manor wedding cake

I got married there in June. We got a standard cake with a basket weave - we had chocolate cake with white chocolate mouse and strawberries. To be honest, I never tasted it - but it's in the freezer for our one month! It looked so pretty with our flowers!
They give you a choice of standards - also a choice of upgrades, which is an additional. They get the cake from a bakery - which you can call and go for a tasting and upgrade if you want. You might as well get an upgrade rate and use some of the credit that the WM gives.
Call Alexandria - who does the menu - she can give you the name and number of the bakery!
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Re: Westbury Manor wedding cake

Thanks a lot! I guess I can do all that when the time to do the menu gets closer
By the way, it was your wedding and Jennifer's what inspired me to get married in the WM, I never was there before prior your weddings ... I guess you remember me by now!

Thanks again!

Re: Westbury Manor wedding cake

Hi! WM bride here- 64 days to go and counting!
I'm going for my menu selection soon! Possibly next week. I'll let you know about the variety of choices available and my overall impression. I know that the WM does a spectacular job with weddings, so I'm not worried that the cake won't be less than perfect.

Re: Westbury Manor wedding cake

I'll be looking forward to hear your comments! I am a cake lover, and FH loves chocolate but can't eat it (he gets bad migraines from it) so I am truly hoping to get something yummy but not chocoholic.

Thanks Kelly and good luck with your menu!

Elena
