Can anyone recommend Westchester wedding halls. I am not from the area - do not know where to begin. Trying to help a friend. Thanks girls!
P.S. any vendor recommendations would be much appreciated as well.

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
Most halls in Westchester are in New Rochelle. If she has a price range in mind please let us know as they can vary a lot.

What's reasonable for the area? Not sure of the budget exactly but looking for something simple but elegant on the lower end w/r/t the $$$.

Went to 2 weddings in that area last year.
Tappan Hill and The Ritz both were amazing

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
These are a little more affordable: RiverView Westchester Manor Royal Regency Hotel
These are in the middle: The Fountainhead VIP Country Club Greentree Country Club Beckwith Pointe Surf Club Lake Isle Country Club
These are a little bit pricier: Glen Island Marina Del Rey (in the Bronx) Doral Arrowwood Tappan Hill Ritz Carlton Rye Town Hilton Castle at Tarrytown Tarrytown House Estate & Conference Center
A new hall also just opened in Dobbs Ferry - 'Windows on the Hudson' (old Rudy's Beau Rivage). Haven't been to anything there nor has anyone else I know.
Another hall is also opening in White Plains 'Mansion on Broadway' - they're in the process of renovating.
I looked at VIP country Club and its 150 w/o tax and gratuity for a saturday in sept.

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
The ones I have been to were all great but all on the higher end,
Westchester Country Club - one of the nicer weddings I've never been to Glen Island Harbor Club Marina Del Ray (Bronx)
I would grab a copy of sites and services and go from there. The one with Li in it usually also has westchester, or you can actually get one for free at the macy's registry counter at the galleria in white plains

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
This website seems to have a lot of reception halls on there - search under the Westchester/Rockland drop-down.

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
As for Vendors:
DJ's - DJ Serg or Dance Time Entertainment.
Jimmy Dee Productions did my friend's wedding and they were also very good but they were a little too pushy when FH and I went to look at them. They followed up TOO much with letters, emails, phone calls and also sent us a TEXT MESSAGE.
Flowers - Arcadia, Diana Gould, Xquisite Events
Limos: Top Class or Silver Star
Photographer - Ricky Restiano (but he can be a bit $$$)
Videographer - Moving Pictures,LLC (but they're also a little pricey).
United Photo & Video are also good and I think a little more reasonable.

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
most of the places in new rochelle are factories and have more than one wedding at a time.
i grew up in westchester and had my prom at beckwithe point which had a pretty view. went to a wedding 2 years ago at surf club and couldn't hear anything during the ceremony because they were carting things around the patio. they also ran out of food during the cocktail hour.
i've heard that glen island was redone and is really pretty.
there is a place called crabtree kittlehouse in chappaqua that's supposed to have good food, i have pricing if you want.

Reid Castle on the Manhattanville College campus is absolutely AMAZING! My sister got married there two years ago. Pics in my album if you want to see!
I believe it was $165 pp for a Saturday in April

Re: Westchester Halls Search...
Is Estherwood Mansion still doing weddings? That place is beyond stunning!
ETA: Gina Esposito for photography! She's not in Westchester, but most photographers will travel within reasonable driving distance.
